Stewardship

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Greetings in the Lord!

We are pleased to invite you to become Stewards of The Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos Serbian Orthodox Parish. As faithful Stewards of God’s creation, we need to be reminded of our continual commitment to Jesus Christ and His Holy Church. Our commitment of Time, Talents and Treasures is just a small sign of appreciation to our Lord who blesses us daily with His Divine gifts. We are the custodians of all things which God created. May your commitment to The Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos Serbian Orthodox Parish be made willingly, lovingly and prayerfully as we embark on a spiritual journey together in the upcoming year.

Located here on our website, you will find a Stewardship Pledge Form, a Frequently Asked Questions, and information explaining how you can make your Stewardship contributions.

It is very important that we complete a Stewardship Pledge form every year. This will help us create our yearly budget more easily and effectively. Additionally, it will assist us in creating a database of all volunteers who commit to their Orthodox Stewardship through Time and Talents.

Our goal is to enroll at least 100 Stewards which will ensure that our church will continue its mission.

The most important factor in a successful Stewardship program is that all of us participate. Everyone should ask themselves, “If I do not, who will?” Even the smallest donation on a regular basis will become large when everybody contributes. Let us do what we can.

Christian Stewardship is our response of gratitude and thanksgiving to God’s limitless blessings and boundless love by offering Him through His Church our time, talents and treasure in proportion to what we have been given.

On behalf Fr. Blasko, Aleks Zlatic and Parish Council

Yours in Christ,
John Vukasovich, Srewardship Chairman

Mechanics of making a contribution

Which financial contributions are considered to be a part of my Stewardship Commitment?
A Stewardship donation is one where the contributor does not receive a tangible product (candles, lunch, event tickets, etc.) in return for their contribution. Examples of Stewardship donations are weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual Stewardship offerings, donations in the basket on Sundays, donations for Church holidays and
special occasions, etc.

Stewardship donations are extremely important to our Parish. They are used to pay for the day-to-day operations of our Church and to plan Future of our Parish.

How do I make donations toward my Stewardship Commitment?

You can choose to make your Stewardship donations weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually.
The first step is to submit an Online Stewardship Pledge Form or by downloading a PDF version and filling it out. A paper copy of the form is also available on the candle stand in the narthex of our church.

You may choose from the following methods for making your contributions:

Contributing in church or by mail

Envelopes for making contributions are available on the candle stand in the narthex of our Church. Write “Stewardship donation” and your name on the envelope. You may mail your contributions to:

Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos Serbian Orthodox Parish
30251 Golden Lantern Ste E #380
Laguna Niguel, CA 92677

Or, you may place your envelopes in the basket during the Divine Liturgy on Sundays. If you choose this form of making contributions and would like more envelopes, ask Fr. Blasko or anyone on the Parish Council and they will provide them for you.

PayPal

It may be more convenient for you to use PayPal to contribute. Just go to our Donations page and make your donation.

Online Banking

Another option is to use your Bank’s online bill paying service for contributions. You can easily set up regular automatic contributions from your account. Be sure to include our Church address when setting up your account. When you make a payment to The Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos online, your bank will write a check, credit it to your account, and send it to our Church. In most cases, there are no fees for this service. We will identify your check by your name and post it toward your Stewardship Commitment.

Whatever method you choose for making donations, be sure to identify yourself so that it can be credited it towards your Stewardship Commitment.
